We recognize the importance of social skills development. 

Patrice Garrison is the Founder and Creator of The SANDPIT. She received her Master's degree in Social Work from New York University and completed her Master's fieldwork in a school setting for individuals with learning disabilities.

She currently works as a School Social Worker, in that capacity, she provides individualized and group counseling for typically developing learners as well as individuals with developmental and learning disabilities. 

Patrice Garrison has over 7 years of experience in Special Education and over 5 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 


Our WHy

Recognizing the importance of social language and how it impacts the life of a child, Patrice Garrison's research interests include severe problem behavior, social skills and Parent Training. She understands the importance of assisting families of children experiencing social deficits and behavioral challenges. The passion behind The SANDPIT stems from the desire to provide children and their families with the tools necessary to live their best life.
